Luis would later return to PSG as coach. During the 1984-1985 season, PSG had an average season with a modest 13th place in the league, a Coupe de France final lost against AS Monaco and an elimination in the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup against the Hungarians of Videoton. During this decade, Wydad won two championships and a Champions League against Al Ahly SC. On September 29, 2001, during the 100th Derby counting for the semi-final of the Throne Cup, Youssef Belkhouja, promising defender of Wydad and the national team with whom he played two matches, collapsed on the lawn of the Stadium Mohammed V in the middle of a match, and died of a heart attack after being transferred to hospital. The most memorable match was the 72nd Derby played during the round of 16 of the Coupe du Trône. Solid in defense, but lacking realism offensively, the Blues obtained a 0-0 draw in Germany, thanks in particular to a very good Alphonse Areola; they then won 2-1 at home against the Dutch team.
